Under the supervision of the Director or Charge Nurse prescribes interventions, delegate’s tasks, and coordinates care of assigned patients. Give direction and supervision to ancillary staff and gives individualized patient care. In doing so, uses the nursing process with age appropriate assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation. The RN must work effectively with the physicians, patients, and peers possessing tact, discretion and diplomacy. Must demonstrate leadership and the ability to work under pressure.
Applicant must be a graduate of an accredited school of nursing, have a current RN license is SC, current BLS certification and NRP. Clinical experience in an acute care setting preferred. Minimum of two years’ experience in labor and delivery.
