Cardiac Rehabilitation

Within days of a heart attack or other heart problem, the staff of our nationally and state certified Cardiac Rehabilitation program guide your recuperation and help you regain the best possible quality of life.

Cardiac Rehabilitation is a multidisciplinary, certified three-phase program that provides monitored exercise therapy and lifestyle education. The goal of the program is to assist you in returning to the best health possible after a cardiac event.

Cardiac Rehab includes exercise training and classes on topics such as:

  • Heart healthy living
  • Role of medication
  • Stress reduction
  • The benefits of exercise

Cardiac Rehab can help people:

  • Recover after a heart attack or heart surgery
  • Reduce the risk of complications and death related to heart problems
  • Prevent future hospital stays

Cardiac Rehab will address the risk factors that lead to coronary heart disease (CHD) and other heart problems. These risk factors include:

  • Diabetes, smoking
  • High blood pressure
  • High cholesterol
  • Lack of physical activity and depression
  • Overweight or obesity

Cardiac Rehab can help you adopt a healthier lifestyle.

Throughout the Cardiac Rehab program, you will meet others with similar heart problems and be able to share your concerns and successes.

Pulmonary Rehabilitation

Pulmonary Rehabilitation is a medically supervised program that helps improve the health and well-being of people who have lung problems.

Pulmonary Rehab includes:

  • Classes on topics such as lung function and disease
  • Exercise Training
  • How to be active with less shortness of breath
  • How to “live” better with your lung condition
  • The benefits of exercise
  • The role of medication

Pulmonary Rehabilitation can also help people who need lung surgery, both before and after the surgery.

Even with advanced lung disease, you can still benefit from Pulmonary Rehabilitation.

By attending Pulmonary Rehab, you can prevent future hospital stays and reduce the risk of complications. Throughout the Pulmonary Rehab program, you will meet others with similar lung problems and be able to share your concerns and successes.
