The Director manages the Diagnostic Imaging Department. Established policies, procedures, standards and objectives for the provision of quality services in the healthcare environment. Ensures that the department is organized with an orderly delegation of responsibility, an established chain of command that leads to departmental objectives and goals focused on continuous process and outcome improvement in direct patient care. Responsible for the direction of technologists and therapists. Supports personnel with regard to scheduling, work assignments and quality of performance. Plans and develops new services considering organizational goals, financial impact physician satisfaction and related protocols.
Applicant must be a graduate of program in radiologic technology; must have Associate or Bachelor Degree in an associated health field. Current registration and certification is required. Must have previous experience as an imaging technologist/therapist. Minimum of 5 years’ experience in clinical areas and prior experience as a manager/supervisor.
