Medical & Surgical Inpatient

Newberry Hospital’s Medical/Surgical Nursing Unit is a 44-bed unit. All rooms are private. Our professional nursing staff is trained to provide excellent and compassionate care for patients–from pediatric to geriatric–with medical concerns, as well as those who are post-surgery.

The Medical/Surgical Waiting Room is located on third floor.

Calling Patients' Rooms

There are phones in all private rooms. To contact a patient from outside the hospital, call 803.405.7(room number). If you don’t know the patient's room number, call the general hospital number 803.276.7570. The operator will be happy to assist you. 

Because of privacy laws, if the patient has not agreed to have his or her name released, we are unable to provide any information.
