Dr. Smyth will provide a full range of OB/GYN services in his office and at Newberry County Memorial Hospital. In addition to his emphasis on clinical expertise, Dr. Smyth considers communication with his patients and education to be the cornerstone of his practice. He also considers communication with referring physicians to be extremely important.
A full spectrum of obstetrical services (OB) will be offered by Dr. Smyth, from vaginal deliveries to operative obstetrics. He is comfortable with patients with high-risk and multiple birth pregnancies in consultation with local pediatric care and with advanced regional neonatal and perinatal support. His office will provide a wide range of office procedures, including amniocentesis and 3-D ultrasound. He looks forward to consulting with local Family Practice physicians about their patients with high-risk pregnancies.
The gynecological side of his practice and infertility evaluations are of special interest to Dr. Smyth. A very full compliment of gynecological surgical procedures and services are offered by the NCMH Women’s Health Center. For more information, call 803-405-7464.
