Introduction to Patient Services
Newberry County Memorial Hospital is committed to providing exceptional care with a personal touch. We do everything possible to make sure our patients are comfortable during treatment and hospital stays. Creating and maintaining a calm, healing environment is essential to your comfort.
Talk to Us!
Communication between patients and family members and our doctors, nurses, and other staff is very important! If you have questions about your care, ask us! If you notice a change in your condition, please tell us immediately! No concern is too small to share with us. Should you ever need anything—a glass of water, an extra blanket—let us know immediately.
To make your stay more restful, we offer the following services for you and your visitors.
Visitors are part of your healing process. We ask that visitors respect the guidelines below so as not to interrupt your rest or that of other patients.
10 am – 8:30 pm
10 am-8 pm
Brother and sister visitation allowed. Children under 12 who are not siblings are not permitted.
Intensive Care Unit (ICU)
Visiting hours in the ICU are limited so that our staff can deliver the highest level of care required by these patients and to maintain patients’ rights to privacy. Visiting hours are 10 minutes on the hour with a limit of two visitors at a time. If you have a special request, please notify the nursing staff.
The Gift Nook
The Gift Nook is located on the first floor at the visitor entrance. It offers cards, snacks, reading material, toiletry items, and charming gifts. The Gift Nook is open on weekdays and has limited weekend hours. If you would like to purchase something from the Gift Nook, let your nurse know and a volunteer will take care of it for you.
The Gift Nook is run by the Newberry County Hospital Foundation; sales support the hospital through Foundation projects.
Visitor Waiting Rooms
Comfortable visitor waiting rooms are located on all patient units and in many service areas. Your family members and friends may use them during your stay.

Nutritional evaluations are offered to assist patients with developing an individual diet plan to support good health. During your stay, you will be served three meals each day carefully prepared to meet your individual needs.
