Bio

Dr. Wilson is a board certified orthopaedic surgeon and specializes in sports medicine and arthroscopic surgery. He was raised in Chapin, SC and graduated from Chapin High School. He attended the Honor's College at the University of South Carolina followed by medical school at the University of South Carolina School of Medicine. Dr. Wilson then completed his residency in orthopaedic surgery at the University of Florida Jacksonville where in his fifth year he was peer selected as "Chief Resident." Following residency, Dr. Wilson pursued a fellowship in sports medicine at Mississippi Sports Medicine and Orthopaedic Center and during his time there, he published multiple techniques on arthroscopic shoulder surgery. Dr. Wilson is a member of the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons, the Arthroscopy Association of North America and the American Orthopaedic Society for Sports Medicine. He specializes in taking care of athletes and the athletic population in addition to arthroscopic surgery and total shoulder arthroplasty. When not working, Dr. Wilson can be found playing golf or ice hockey and enjoying Lake Murray with his wife and two sons.
